ToucanTix was born out of the clear need for a specialised approach to ticketing. While COMBASE's established KORONA platform has been used successfully in retail and catering for decades, ticketing, events and visitor management have their own unique requirements, target groups and communication needs.
In order to enable the product, marketing and development teams to focus entirely on the specific challenges faced by amusement parks, zoos, museums, event organisers and cultural institutions, ToucanTix was established as an independent brand powered by COMBASE.
ToucanTix is not just a ticketing solution; it is a comprehensive platform offering a 360° view of your organisation, covering everything from sales and access to catering, shops, visitor management, administration and analysis. Everything in one system. Everything from a single source.

Douglas Ward
CEO and co-founder
Douglas is a tech entrepreneur with over ten years' experience in cloud-based platforms and international software projects. As the co-founder of ToucanTix, he is responsible for the company's strategic direction and product development. His goal is to create intuitive technology that solves real problems and makes every institution feel valued.
Christoph Immel
CSO - Chief Sales Officer
Christoph has over 15 years' experience in ticketing and visitor management. Having worked with amusement parks, museums and event organisers, he is familiar with the challenges they face and has actively helped shape many of their solutions. At ToucanTix, he oversees sales, ensuring our solutions are tailored to our customers' specific needs.
